The Coral Gum is often used in gardens or along streets. Usually a small tree, can grow between 5 and 10 metres, but produces bunches of red flowers towards the end of the year.
Bark from this eucalyptus is often flaky and dark in colour.
It was believed to be found originally near Coolgardie and Kalgoorlie, and can sometimes be known as the Coolgardie gum.
The botanist Johann George Luehmann was the first to describe it in 1897.
