This eucalyptus tree is small compared to others, usually not getting past 3m in height and the width is similar, without pruning.
Leaves are a rounded pale green, sessile and opposite each other. The common name of Bookleaf mallee describes the leaves lining up on the branch, almost like books on a bookshelf.
Yellow flowers typically appear in the winter months, in groups of 7 along the branches.
Originally found around the granite hills near Kalgoorlie in the south east of Western Australia, this mallee prefers a sunny position with well drained soil.
