The cottonwood is a fast growing medium sized evergreen tree with large heart shaped green and burgundy leaves and attractive bright yellow flowers.

 
This tree flowers most of the year and particularly in summer. It grows well in full sun and is a good choice for providing shade and as a dense screening tree.
