The Red River Gum is found all over Australia and is one of the more recognisable Eucalyptus trees.
It often grows past 20 metres in height and is normally found close to water.
The white flowers appear in the summer leaving behind woody capsule. It’s smooth grey bark is sketchy revealing pink and red colours of the wood behind it.
This Eucalyptus species grows very quickly and have a long life span. As the tree ages, the trunks hollow out allowing for good nesting spots for birds and some reptiles.
