This small tree calls Western Australia home and is known for its larger rose-like flowers found later in the year.
The light green or grey heart-shaped leaves contrast against the smooth brown bark on the trunk.
Willian Jackson Hooker was the the first to describe the species in 1842, but is known as “mottlecah” to the local Noongar people.
Soils need to be well drained and enjoying the sun are elements this native thrives on.
