Salt Lake Mallee (Eucalyptus halophila)

Eucalyptus halophila, also known as Salt Lake Mallee is endemic to Western Australia.

 

This shrub or mallee typically grows to a height of 1 to 4 metres and forms a lignotuber.

 

Flowering occurs from January to May and the flowers are creamy white.

 

Eucalyptus halophila grows in sandy clay soils on flat areas in shrubland adjacent to salt lakes and naturally occurs around the Esperance area.
